Found in northern Peru in montane forests at elevations around 950 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm growing epiphtye with fan-shaped growths separated by .4 to .8" [1 to 2 cm] on a terete rhizome with oblanceolate, acute, becoming conduplicate into the base leaves that gradate in size and have imbricate sheath bases that blooms sporadically throughout the year on an axillary, slender, terete, short to 2.8" [to 7 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence with hyaline floral bracts.
