Common Name The Maiden of Palawan Stigmatodactylus

Flower Size .4" [1 cm]

Found on Palawan Island of the Philippines in closed canopy upper montane forest at elevations of 1400 to 1700 meters as a mini-miniature to just small sized, cool growing terrestrial with a globose to ovate tuber giving rise to an erect, terete, green, glabrous stem with a basal, clasping cataphyl and carrying at mid stem a single, cordate, venation darker leaf that blooms in the summer and fall on an erect, terete, peduncle [3.5 to 8 cm] long, rachis [.8 to 2.8 cm] long, green, successivedly 1 to 2, to 7 flowered inflorescence with corrdate, sessile, acuminate floral bract and carrying outward facing, resupiante somewhat transluscent flowers.
