Found in New Guinea and the Solomon Islands in montane forests in deep shade at elevations of 2100 to 2700 meters as a miniature sized cool to cold grwoing terrestrial with an erect, 1" stem with a median, large deeply cordate scalloped edge, dark green leaf that blooms in the winter and summer with a terminal erect, single flowered inflorescence with a small leaf-liker, cordate bract at the short pedicel base of each flower.
