Found in Cameroon, the Gulf of Guinea Islands, Equatorial Guinea and Ethiopia at the edge of montane forests and swamp forests at elevations of 800 to 2850 meters as a miniature sized, cool to cold growing epiphyte with a creeping rhixome giving rise to slender, clavate, rhizomatous, rather wiry, swollen below each pair of leaves pseudobulbs carrying 2, apical, elliptic to obovate leaves that blooms in the fall winter and spring on a terminal, .12 to .32" [3 to 8 mm] long, single flowered inflorescence
