Found in the Uluguru Mountains of Tanzania on mossy branches of trees in montane forests at elevations of 1350 to 2000 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte or rarely lithophyte with a creeping rhizome giving rise to fusiform-compressed, close set, apex obliquelt set pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, fleshy, erect, elliptic to oblanceolate, apiculate, emarginate, bluish green leaf that blooms on a much shorter than the leaf, peduncle to .2" [5 mm] long, 1 to 3 flowered inflorescence with ovate, acute floral rbacts and carrying fleshy, cream colored to greenish flowers with dark purple to green to blackish within.
