Common Name The Nyassan Stolzia [Refers to being from Tanzania]

Flower Size

Found in Malawi and Tanzania in cloud forests at elevations of 1770 to 2200 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cold growing epiphyte with a creeping rhizome giving rise to fleshy, somewhat, angular ovoid, dorsiventrally compressed, mat forming pseudobulbs carrying 2, oblong-ligulate to oblong-elliptic, fleshy, suberect, rounded, notched apcially leaves that blooms in the summer and fall on an erect, somewhat flattened, to 2.4" [6 cm] long, densely 2 to 11 flowered inflorescence with ovate, acute floral bracts.
