Found in the Uluguru Mountains of Tanzania on mossy branches of trees in wet mist forests at elevations of 1600 to 2000 meters as a miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with a creeping rhizome giving rise to obliquely ovoid-fusiform pseudobulbs carrying 2 off center apically, ligulate to emarginate apically, bright green leaves that blooms on an as long as the leaves erect, peduncle somewhat flattened, 1.2 to 2" [3 to 5 cm] long, to 4.4" 11 cm] long, densely 6 to 14 flowered inflorescence with lanceolate, acute to acuminate floral bracts and carrying secund, lime green flowers with a purple lip.
