Common Name The Chestnut Sudamerlycaste [Refers to the lip color]
Flower Size 2.4" [to 6 cm]
Found in Colombia, Ecuador and Peru at elevations around 2200 meters in cloudforests as an epiphyte with elongate pseduobulbs without spines and carrying 3, plicate, drooping, lanceolate, leaves that blooms in the late spring and early summer on an erect, 1.4" [3.5 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence with 4 short sheathing bracts.
