Found in New Guinea on trees in forests at elevations around 100 to 600 meters as a small sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte without leaves that blooms in the late fall through winter on a .28 to .6" [.7 to 1.5 cm] long, sawlike, densely several flowered inflorescence

Schlechter stated that the flowers are golden yellow with a whitish spur.
