Found in New Guinea at elevations arpund 700 meters as a small sized, warm growing epiphyte without leaves that blooms in the winter on a thin, 1.2" [3 cm] long, densly few to several flowered inflorescence with triangular, acuminate floral bracts.

Schlechter stated that the flowers are golden yellow with a whitish spur.
