Found in New Guinea on trees in montane forests at elevations around 1100 meters as a miniature to small sized, cool growing epiphyte with shiny flattened roots without leaves, that blooms in the late spring on a thin, .4" [1 cm] long, densely few flowered inflorescence with minute, triangular floral bracts.
Schlechter stated that the flowers are golden yellow with a pale yellow spur.
