Found in Queensland and New South Wales Australia in rainforests, sheltered open forests, humid gullies and srteamsides on shrubs and trees at elevations of 50 to 1200 meters as a small to large sized, hot to cool growing epiphtye with single to more often several plants joined together with round, green roots that blooms in the winter on a threadlike, hairless, horizontal, apically zig zagged, bracted, 1.2 to 2" [3 to 5 cm] long, successively 5 to 12 flowered inflorescence
