Found in New Guinea on trees at elevations around 1200 meters as a miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte without leaves that blooms in the late fall on a muricate-hispid, .6" [1.5 cm] long, densely several flowered inflorescence with muricate, acute floral bracts.

Schlechter stated that the flowers are yellow.
