Found in New Guinea on trees at elevations around 250 meters as a small sized, hot growing epiphyte without leaves that blooms in the late fall and early winter on a distichous, setiform, .4 to .8" [1 to 2 cm] long, densely 4 to 15 flowered inflorescence with minute, triangular floral bracts.

Schlechter stated that the flowers are a very pallid yellow.
