Found in Java in montane forests on small branches of Cupressus sinensis at elevations of 800 meters as a small sized, warm growing epiphyte or occasional lithophyte with dark green, very flattened roots without leaves that blooms in the early summer on a slightly zigzag, .24 to .48" [6 to 1.2 cm] long, laxly successively single, few flowered inflorescence.
