Found in Sumatra at elevations around 1000 meters as a small sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte without leaves and much flattened roots that blooms on a thiner than the rachis peduncle, few sheathed, .2 to .32" [5 to 8 mm] long, rachis elongating over time, short to 1.2" [3 cm] long, muricate, fairly dense, successively few several to many flowered inflorescence with triangular, fleshy, much shorter than the ovary floral bracts.
Schlechter stated that the flowers are yellowish with a white lip.
