Common Name The Hair-Shaped Column Foot Taeniophyllum

Flower Size 1/2" [1.25 cm]

Found in New Guinea in lower montane forests at elevations of 100 to 200 meters as a small sized, hot growing leafless epiphyte with flattened, flexuous, to 20" [to 50 cm] long roots radiating from a central nexus and blooming in the spring on an erect, racemose, distichous, 1.4 to 4" [3.5 to 10 cm] long, rather densely 10 to 20 flowered inflorescence with successively opening, glabrous flowers.
