Common Name The Elliptic Tainia [refers to the leaves]

Flower Size 1.2" [3 cm]

Found in northern Taiwan in primary broadleaved florests and bamboo thickets at elevations of 400 to 1500 meters as a small sized, hot to cool growing terrestrial with a short rhizome giving rise to closely set to .4" [1 cm] between each elongate-ovoid, terminal bending, dark green to purplish green, lustrous, fleshy pseudobulb carrying a single, apical, elliptic to elliptic-ovate, distinctly 3 nerved, dark green, lustrous, thickly chartaceous leaf that blooms in the late winter and spring on a basal, 8 to 23.6" [20 to 59 cm] long, loosely, 6 to 10 flowered inflorescence.
