Common Name or Meaning The Hong Kong Tainia - In China Xiang Gang Dai Chun Lan

Flower Size 1.6" [4 cm]

Found in southeastern China and Vietnam on wooded slopes and open places in hilly areas at elevations of 100 to 500 meters as a small sized, hot to cool growing terrestrial orchid with ovoid pseudobulbs enveloped by sheaths in youth and carrying a single, apical, oblong, acuminate gradually narrowing below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the spring on an erect, to 20" [50 cm] long, laxly several flowered inflorescence with 4 tubular sheaths below and narrowly lanceolate, membraneous, long acuminate floral bracts.
