Common Name The Mali River Taeniophyllum [River in New Guinea] - In Australia The Tangled Ribbonroot

Flower Size 1/2"+ [1.4 cm]

Found from New Guinea, Solomon Island and Queensland Australia as a small, hot growing leafless epiphyte at elevations of 80 to 150 meters on small twigs as a tangled mass that is perched in the upper levels of tall trees where they get bright light and bloom on a horizontal 2" [5 cm] long, several [15] flowered inflorescence with them opening in succession one by one on a extending compressed rhachis with 3 persistant bracts and nonresupinate, ephemeral, nocturnally fragrant flowers all occuring at any time of the year.
