Common Name The Large Flowered Tainia - In China Da Hua Dai Chun lan

Found in southwestern Sichuan, Guangxi and southern Guangdong provinces of China and Vietnam on wooded slopes at elevations of 700 to 1200 meters as a small sized, warm to cool growing terrestrial with prostrate on the rhizome becoming arching-ascending above, narrowly cylindric pseudobulbs carrying a single, elliptic, plicate, thinly papery, truncate to subrounded below into the petiolate base elaf that blooms in the summer on an erect, terminal 3 sheathed, rachis 3 to 6 flowered inflorescence with ovate-lanceolate, acuminate floral bracts.
