Common Name The Large Flowered Tainia

Found in Arunachal Pradesh state of India and the eastern Himalayas in tropical valleys at elevations around 300 meters as a medium to large sized, hot growing terrestrial orchid with erect, cylindric pseudobulbs carrying a single, cordate, acuminate, 5 to 7 veined, entire margined, mottled to marbled leaf that blooms in the spring on an erect, glabrous, 5 to 7.2" [12.5 to 18 cm] long, 4 to 8 flowered inflorescence with 2 basal bracts and spreading, triangular-lanceolate floral bracts
