Common Name The Batu Punggul Pinnacle Tainia [A mountain in Sabah Borneo]

Found in Sabah Borneo at elevations around 400 to 900 meters on limestone peaks rocks as a small sized, hot to warm growing terrestrial with single noded, erect, gourd shaped pseudobulbs carrying a single, erect, elliptic, plicate, acuminate, margin not undulate, thin, 51 to 77 veined, liver colored in youth, gradually narrowing below into the purple petiolate base leaf that blooms on a probably lateral, erect, 8.2" [20.5 cm] long, slightly pilose, especially above, peduncle 5.2 to 7" [13 to 17.5 cm] long, purple blotched, with 2 tubular, acute, abaxial surfaces lightly pilose bracts, rachis 1.32" to 2" [3.3 to 5 cm] long, 2 flowered inflorescence with patent, triangular to ovate, acute, abaxial surface pilose, purple floral bracts carrying transluscent yellow segments sometimes having purple spots with a yellow lip sometimes with purple spots and greenish yellow keels.
