Found in pennisular Malaysia in moss forests at elevations around 1000 to 1250 meters as a small to medium sized, cool growing terrestrial with a short stem carrying a single, erect, ovate, acute, margin somewhat thickened, one margin sometimes crenulate, the other not to slightly crenulate, somewhat fleshy, shining purple brown, plicate, 11 to 15 veined, gradually narrowing below into the crimson petiolate base leaf that blooms in the spring, summer and fall on a terminal, erect, peduncle 5.2 to 9.6" [13 to 24.5 cm] long, with 4 bracts, 7.6 to 10.8" [19 to 27 cm] long overall, rachis 1.28 to 2.24" [3.2 to 5.6 cm] long, 1 to 4 flowered inflorescence with patent, triangular floral bracts and carrying simultaneously opening, pale yellow flowers closely lined with purple and the lip is crison and lined with yellow.
