Found in Ecuador in wet montane cloud forests at elevations of 1400 to 1700 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with a short, erect stem enveloped by imbricate leaf bases carrying 3 to 5, narrowly elliptic, acute, gradually narrowing below into the base leaves that blooms in the summer through winter on slightly winged, subterete, to 1.6" [4 cm] long, successively several flowered inflorescence with 1 to 2 triangular bracts and triangular floral bracts.
