Found in Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador and Peru at elevations of 1000 to 2800 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool to cold growing epiphyte with an extremely short rhizome giving rise to distichous, baslly imbricating, in a fan shape, narrowly elliptic, acute leaves that blooms in the fall, winter and summer on a racemose, triangular in cross-section, to 6" [15 cm] long, successively single, several flowered inflorescence.
