Found in Costa Rica in wet premontane forests at elevations around 800 to 900 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm growing epiphyte with 2 to 3, distichous, narrowly ellipitc to lanceolate, acute, minutely apiculate leaves that blooms in the summer on a simple, successively to 10 flowered, to 6.4" [16 cm] long, terete inflorescence with 2 to 3 infundibuliform triangular, acute bracts and triangular, obtuse floral bracts.
