Found in Junin department of Peru in wet cloud forests at elevations around 2500 meters as a miniature to small sized, cold growing epiphyte with a more or less ascending stem enveloped by 3 to 5 articulated foliar sheaths and carrying lanceolate to narrowly oblanceolate, acuminate basally conduplicate into the base leaves that blooms at most any time of the year as the new growth matures an erect, scapose, racemose, peduncle terete below, angulate above, 2.4" [6 cm] long, usually successively 1 to 2, several flowered inflorescence with semi-hyaline greenish sepals, greenish yellow petals with greenish veins, a pale green lip becoming purplish red in the basal third with greenish yellow veins with irregular small spots between the veins, a pale green column with pale purplish bristles, and the finer pubescense hyaline, a pale brown anther and bright yellow pollina.
