Found in Junin department of Peru at elevations around 2800 meters as a miniature sized, cold growing epiphyte with a short, ascending rhizome giving rise to elliptic-lanceolate to oblanceolate, acute, attenuate below into the conduplicate base leaves that blooms in the spring on a basal, 3" [7.5 cm] long, winged, flexuous, successively few flowered inflorescence
