Common Name Ballestero's Telipogon [Costa Rican Orchid Enthusiast]

Flower Size 1.2" [3 cm]

Found in Costa Rica in dense oak forests at elevations around 2450 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cold growing epiphyte with an erect stem enveloped by leaf sheaths carrying alternate, distichous, net-like veination, narrowly obovate, obtuse at the apex, apiculate, narrowing acutely toward the base leaves that blooms in the summer on a terminal, terete, to 5.6" [14 cm] long, racemose, successively 2-to 3-flowered inflorescence with triangular, apiculate floral bracts.
