Found in the province of Puntaarenas Costa Rica in lower montane forests at elevations around 1500 to 1600 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with ephemeral, 2 elliptic-lanceolate, acute leaves that blooms in the spring on 1 to 2, wiry, 3.2" [8 cm] long, successively single few flowered inflorescence enveloped almost completely by broadened bracts.
