Found in Costa Rica in very wet, pluvial and oak forests at elevations of 2500 to 3200 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cold growing, subcaulescent epiphyte with an elongate stem carrying distichous, obovate, obtuse, apiculate, gradually narrowing below into the base leaves that blooms in the later summer on a lateral, thin, 6 to 8" [15 to 20 cm] long, successively few flowered inflorescence
