Found in Costa Rica in cloud forests 2500 to 3300 meters as a miniature sized, cold growing epiphyte or terrestrial with distichous, coriaceous, conduplicate, elliptic, acute leaves that blooms at most any time of the year on a rather lax, terminal, terete, racmose to 1 branched, to 22" [45 cm] long, successively single to 12 flowered inflorescence
