Found in Quindio Colombia in cold damp cloud forests at elevations around 3000 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cold growing epiphyte with short stem enveloped by imbricating leaf sheaths and carrying 3 to 4, coriaceous, oblong-elliptic, acuminate, gradually narrowing into the conduplicate, subpetiolate base leaves that blooms in the summer on an axillary, triangular in cross-section, to 4.8" [to 12 cm] long, successively single, few flowered inflorescence with a narrow acute bract and large, triangular, acute floral bracts.
