Common Name Gene George's Telipogon

Found in Junin department of Peru in wet montane forests at elevations around 2500 to 2600 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cold growing epiphyte with a short stem enveloped by several, imbricating, articulated foliar sheaths carrying 3 to 4, lanceolate to oblanceolate, apiculate, apical 1/4 more or less cilaite leaves that blooms at most any time of the year on a racemose, 2 winged with a thickened central rib, 1 to 4 simultaneous, several flowered inflorescence with concave, ovate-triangular, acuminate, carinate floral bracts and carrying flowers with pale yellow with pale reddish purple veined sepals, the petals and the lip bright yellow with red-purple veins, the base pilose and reddish purple and the column pale greenish with an intense red purple setae.
