Found in Costa Rica at elevations around 2850 to 3050 meters as a miniature sized, cold growing, caulescent epiphyte with an erect, elongate stem enveloped by imbricate leaf sheaths carrying alternate, distichous, net-like venation, obovate, obtuse, narrowing below into the base leaves that blooms in the summer on an erect, terminal, terete, sometimes branched, to [45 cm] long, successively to 15 flowered inflorescence with triangular floral bracts and carrying non-resupinate flowers.
