Found in Chiriqui Panama at elevations around 2100 to 2200 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cold growing epiphyte with an erect stem enveloped by leaf sheaths carrying 8 to 10, elliptic to elliptic-oblanceolate, acute leaves that blooms in the later summer on a terminal or axillary, 2.5 to 7.2" [6.75 to 18 cm] long, simultaneously opening, several flowered inflorescence with ovate, acuminate, carinate floral bracts.
