Common Name or Meaning The Guacamaya Telipogon [Cordillera de Guacamaya - Mountain range in Ecuador]

Found in Napo Ecuador in wet montane cloud forests at elevations around 2040 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cold growing epiphyte with a short, basally branching stem carrying narrowly obovate, acute, narrowing below into the articulate junctioned base leaves that blooms in the winter on a terminal or lateral, to 3.2" [to 8 cm] long, 3 winged, successively few, single flowered inflorescence with boat-shaped, ovate, keeled on the back floral bracts and carrying non-resupinate flowers

CAUTION!! The flower in the photo above is close but does not constitute an exact match so use with caution. Most likely this species is T ecuadorensis
