Found in Ecuador and northern Peru in wet montane forests at elevations around 1800 meters as a small sized, cool growing epiphyte with no pseudobulbs and distichous, linear-lanceolate, acute, basally clasping leaves that blooms in the winter on an arched, elongate, 8" [20 cm] long, branched, each branch 3 to 6 flowered, successively many flowered inflorescence
