Found in Cundinamarca department of Colombia at elevations around 2950 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cold growing epiphyte with a short stem enveloped completely by distichous, imbricating leaf sheaths carrying narrowly obovate, acute apically, apiculate, narrowing towards the base leaves that blooms in the late winter and early spring on 1 to 2, terminal, peduncle to 1.6" [4 cm] long, flattened, to 2.8" [7 cm] long, successively 1 to 2, 3 to 7 flowered inflorescence with ovate, congested, convcave, shorter than the 3 winged pedicel, boat-shaped floral bracts.
