Found in sucumbios province Ecuador at elevations around 1200 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with a short, erect, basally branching stem enveloped by several, imbricating, foliaceous sheths and carrying 5 to7, deciduous, narrowly ovate, acute, narrowing basally to connect to the sheath leaves that blooms on a terminal, to 6" [25 cm] long, erect, slender, slightly flattened, provided with 2 to 3 sheaths, successively 1 to 3, several flowered inflorescence.
