Common Name Cristina's Telipogon [Ms Udd Collector of species current]

Found in Loja province of southern Ecuador in upper montane cloud forests at elevations around 2400 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cold growing epiphyte with a very short stem enveloped by imbricating distichous leaf bases and carrying narrowly oblong-elliptic, acute leaves that blooms in the late spring and summer on an axillary, narrowly winged to trilate, to 4" [10 cm] long, successively few flowered inflorescence with triangular floral bracts.

Similar to T tessallatus but differs in the pubescent, fingerlike callus which is free from both the lip and the column.
