Found in Huancavelica department of Peru in wet cloud forests at elevations around 3200 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cold growing epiphyte with an ascending rhizome carrying lanceolate, acute to minutely bilobed, lightly coriaceous, medium green, articulate to the sheath base leaves that blooms in the winter on 1 to 2, short, peduncle triangular, 2.4 to 3.4" [6 to 8.5 cm] long, successively single, 1 to 4 flowered inflorscence with ovate triangular, concave, basally clasping floral bracts and carrying white to very pale greenish white flowers with conspicuous reddish brown spots, the spots more purplish on the sepals the callus dark purple, the column clear brown with dark red-purple bristles and pubescence, the stigma dark purple, the anther ocher yellow and reddish purple and the pollina is golden yellow.
