Found in Cuba on malpighia bushes at elevations below 200 meters as a small sized, hot growing epiphyte with inconspicuous stems carrying 2 to 7, basal, fleshy, erect to falciform, canaliculate below, conduplicate to subcylindric above, fleshy, acute leaves that blooms in the later spring on a filiform, erect, sparsely bracteate, to 3.6" [9 cm] long, simple to sparsely branched, 1 to 4 flowered inflorescence with thin, acuiminate, ovate floral bracts
