Common Name Desiree's Teuscheria [Venezuelan orchid enthusiast Desiree de Simini Reinberg, current]

Supposedly found in Venezuela without locality as a just medium sized epiphyte with distant, dark green, orbicular pseudobulbs enveloped basally by papyraceous, brown bracts and carrying 1 to 2, plicate, thin, elongate leaves that blooms in the fall on a basal, peduncle 4" [10 cm] long, provided with a single dark purple bract, that blooms in the fall on a 4" [10 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence.
Similar to T pickiana but differs in the lip apex that terminates in a truncate apex with an erose margin and the lateral lobes triangular with a an abaxial sparse pubescence.
