Common Name Horich's Teusheria [German Orchid Collector in Costa Rica 1900's]

Found in Costa Rica in rainforests at elevations around 850 meters as a medium sized, hot growing, caespitose epiphyte with conical to ovate, longitudinaly sulcate pseudobulbs partially enveloped below in youth by imbricating sheaths becoming fibrous with age, carrying a single, apical, plicate, elliptic-lanceolate, acute, gradually narrowing below into the conduplicate, terete, petiolate base leaf that blooms in the fall on an erect, slender, 2" [5 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence with non-resupinate flowers
