Found in southwestern Australia in or along the margins of swamps in raised hummocks at elevations of 10 to 200 meters as a medium to giant sized, cold growing terrestrial with a single leaf that blooms in the spring on an erect, [20 to 85 cm] long, 2 to 28 flowered inflorescence with 1 to 3 sterile bracts
