Found in Western Australia at elevations of sea level to 150 meters in low lying depressions and on the margins of winter-wet coastal swamps or on granite out crops as a medium sized, cold growing terrestrial with a slender stem with 2, closely sheathing, subulate bractscarrying a single, linear, channeled leaf that blooms in the mid winter and spring in nature on an erect, 8 to 18" [20 to 45 cm] long, 2 to 10 flowered inflorescence carrying fugacious flowers
