Common Name The Ixia-Like Thelymitra - The Spotted Sun Orchid
Flower Size 1.2 to 1.6" [3 to 4 cm]
Found in Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, Tasmania Australia in heathy forests and heathlands at elevations of sea level to 500 meters as a medium sized, cool to cold growing terrestrial usually in well drained soils with a slender stem carrying a single, linear, channeled leaf that blooms in the spring on an erect, 8 to 12" [20 to 30 cm] long, 2 to 10 flowered inflorescence with 2 to 3 sterile bracts..
