Common Name The Mallow Colored Thelymitra - The Purple Tufted Sun Orchid

Flower Size .6" to 1.25" [1.5 to 3.2 cm]

Found in New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia, Victoria, Tasmania and New Zealand at elevations of 10 to 300 meters in tall forests, heathy forests and coastal scrub as a small sized, cold growing terrestrial with a thin textured leaf that blooms and spring and early summer on an erect, 10 to 30" [25 to 75 cm] long, 3 to 25 flowered inflorescence with usually 3 sterile bracts.
